GCN will ensure the privacy of all organizations and individuals.

1. Information Collection - What Information We Collect

1.1  Online (Current):  GCN currently collects information online only when an organization or person subscribes to the newsletter and/or completes the survey that are available online. The information collected for the newsletter is at a minimum name and email information, with other information optional.  The information collected for the survey are substantive information regarding the needs of Giving Circles and ways in which Giving Circles can be better supported.

 

1.2  Regular Mail (Future):  GCN may collect information via regular mail campaigns (not email) related to contact and mailing address information of potential donors and may use that information to solicit charitable contributions from potential donors. 

2. Information Use - How We Use Information Collected

GCN uses the online information collected as follows:

2.1 Uses subscription information to distribute the newsletter; and

2.2 Will use the survey results to improve the products and services available to Giving Circles and the causes, communities and beneficiaries they support.

2.3 Will use information from regular mail (not email) campaigns for fundraising activities. 

3. Personal Information Status and Changes - How to Review and Update Your Information

Please contact us ( via the contact information provided on this website) to review your personal information collected and request corrections including removal from the newsletter list.

4. Securing Your Personal Information

GCN will ensure your privacy and does not sell, lease or otherwise distribute your personal information to any organization, business or individual.  In the event that GCN ever changes that policy, it will notify all individuals and provide them with the choice of keeping their information private or allowing it to be shared as specified, and will allow individuals to continue or change that choice on an annual basis by contacting them in writing first.

5. Privacy Concerns

As noted above, at such time that GCN ever does change its policy on information sharing, GCN will address the privacy concerns of all subscribers, survey responders and/or donors by providing in written appeals, at least annually, a means (e.g., such as a check off box) to inform GCN if they do or do not want their name and address shared outside the organization.
